The Ninja 1000SX marks the 4th generation of a successful sport touring platform that enables experienced riders to enjoy sporty riding and touring capability from a relaxed position. Cleaner emissions with the same great performance, sportier, more dynamic new styling featuring a single-sided muffler and all-LED lighting*, increased seat comfort for both rider and passenger, and a host of technology updates – including Electronic Cruise Control; a quick shifter; integrated Riding Modes that combine KTRC and Power modes; and 4.3” all-digital TFT colour instrumentation with smartphone connectivity – make this refined sport tourer more attractive than ever.
TFT Colour Instrumentation
The compact new 4.3” all-digital TFT colour instrumentation gives the cockpit a high-tech, high grade appearance. The new meter also offers additional features unavailable on the previous model.
Single-Sided Muffler
All-new exhaust 1 system has a 4-into-2-into pre-chamber into-1 arrangement,
contributing to the Ninja 1000SX’s enhanced sporty looks. The single sided muffler arrangement saves approximately 2 kg in weight. Joint pipes linking the exhaust headers also contribute to increased feeling and response at all rpm. Complementing revised engine mapping, 3-way catalysers in the exhaust collector ensure strict emissions regulations are met.
Increased Wind Protection
More stylish windshield is set at a slightly more upright angle. Four available positions range from sporty to maximum wind protection, to suit rider preference. As before, adjustment can be done by hand (no tools required) by depressing the release button below the instrument panel (Windshield adjustment should be done with the bike stopped.)
